The parts shot is awesome!

#1 would be more interesting if you cropped the picture to center the bird (or close to center) as it gives an interesting context to the shot and is a little lost in the current crop. The shot should also be leveled. I like the parts shot... it is interesting.
Good work!

Are you scanning from the negatives or from prints? I really like the parts shot (might as well jump on that bandwagon) and the dog ones are cool but i don't favor the processing too much.

I like them; especially 1 and the last sequence. Reala?

They are scanned from negatives at costco. Thanks for the input!

May I ask you, what gear were you using, and what pp? The colors look perfect. I love the shots too btw.

The first two are straight from the camera. I was shooting with a 1978 Canon A-1 mated to a Canon 28-85mm 1:4. The dogs are a little processed, but I figured you were asking about the first two. I was shooting cheap kodak film I bought at walgreens, and got it processed to CD at costco. After shooting this role a few months ago, I decided to upgrade from an old digital rebel to a 5d kit. The rebel just wasn't giving me the colors I wanted, and the kit lens was only OK, but the 5d shoots very well and gets me much closer to film quality than I feel the rebel ever could. The new lens (24-105) also plays a major role.
