I almost always make a slide show out of pictures I take on vacation or events I go to. Mostly for fun. I have been wanting to create a logo to put at the front of the show. Same as you see at the beginning of a movie with the studio logo. Reciently I have been shareing them with friends and family as well. and wanted to undeniably put my stamp on them.

Well today I finally created one. It was done mainly in GIMP as Elements 6 didnt seem up to the task. The lettering will get changed, but this is a rough idea.

I think most folks will get it.

An alternate idea might be to make them turn much more slowly and use that typical drawbridge being cranked up, chain links clanking sound effect?

Other than they are actually not turning. I made 2 images and put a radial blur on the "moving" ones, Then had them do a quick transition. It does look like they are turning. But in fact, it is really a 5 image slide show.

I have to say I amazed my self. Not ment to be bragging. But I didnt think I could pull it off when I started. But after about 4 different ways of trying it. I tried it this way and shocked myself how easy it was.
