Hello everyone,

Would anyone be able to shed some light on how this is achieved?

Is this a beauty dish or a softbox? One light or multiple? Also, how do they get the skin tone to look this way, is it just using a cooler white balance? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

P.S. We are allowed to post links to other people's images, right?

I see two lights one about 90 degrees camera left and one near or at the camera axis.

Brice, thanks! Would you happen to be able to guess as to the lighting modifiers?

I guess what I'm tryin' to figure out is how to get that soft smooth light without hotspots. I'm assuming it's softboxes.

You can get that light with a bare bulb if you want. Its all about flash to subject distance when you are trying to avoid specular highlights. Obviously you can't control a bare bulb (spread) like you can a softbox but you can get "soft" light.
