I am trying to figure out how you all take multiple exposures to stack and how LordV can shift his point of view for the stereo shots with a moving target. I feel like I'm not getting something here.

Psst - this is the "photo sharing" section. The "talk/discussion" forum is --> over here (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=123).

The short answer to this is 99% of the people in the macro section do not drug, cool or freeze the bugs. Most of us operate under the principle that we should not harm the bugs we are shooting.
The worst that most people do is bait the bugs with food to keep them busy or sometimes temporarily move them to better shooting location.
You'd be suprised how many times a bug will just sit there letting you take shots of it as long as you are very careful approaching it and also how you move when taking the shots.

I typically never have any drugs leftover to share with the bugs :D
I agree with Lord V i dont get much macro shooting in but when i do i am surprised how often they just stand there waiting for you to finish.
