Looks pretty good but why cut off parts of the base?

And why tilt it?

thanks yes the base is a bit of a stupid thing from me i have to admit.

the til, why not? i mean otherwise its just another dead on shot.

My first thought "why is it tilted like that?".
I like the shot though, very crisp

Actually I like the contrast. The tilt..I know what you are trying to do, but for me my brain tells me that liquid would not stay in the glass if it was tilted like that. So it is a distraction. You know what I mean?

I wouldn't say there's too much contrast...

I think the exposure looks good.

thanks all, oh btw its a dessert, not a drink....it would be kind of hard to suspend raspberries, chocolate and mint on top a drink in the center of the glass.

thanks anyway!

The exposure looks good - I actually like the contrast. I don't mind the tilt, but I'd also like to see it un-tilted just as a comparison. The one thing that keeps distracting my eye, though, is the raspberry reflection in the stem of the glass.

So..this is a good starting point..

How about you start here and pan up and over..to get more of the dessert showing..but keeping things on the vertical?

I like the tilted version better. Might be nice with a spoon next to or instead of the raspberries on the table.

The tilted one has more interest.
I think you might have actually tilted the table, a little less liquid in the glass would allow the fluid to tilt also.
I see bubbles in the glass in the tilted one, not so in the straight one. Without is better.
I like the raspberries in the shot, but they cast a funny reflection on the stem of the glass.
In the second pic, is that you in the reflection?
Nice product shot.

erh again, its a dessert and not a drink, sorry for the confusion with the title "martini but appreciate all your comments!

if theres a reflection it must be me but i cant figure out where you see me

I wasn't paying attention to the desert thing, maybe you could let it set in the 'fridge at an angle.
Reflection, bottom of the stem, at the base, center.
I C U:)
Anyway, I like this photo.

I like the tilted version better myself. The glass looks crooked in the vertical non-tilted shot. Maybe consider cloning out some of the dust on the glass near the base. I think it's a nicely exposed shot with some excellent color.

It needs a recipe next to it!
