Personally I like it, except I dont know if I would have the slideshow up front.
I would let the person choose to see your slide show if they like.
And you do have a button for it.;)

So what would you do for the home screen? If you don't mind me asking.

If it was me I would just take the flash slide show out of the home page and just put a nice still pic there.
People have short attention spans when it comes to web sites.
They like control, when they want it.
Whats happens is they will not sit and wait for your photos to show. They will get bored very quickly, and move on.
Now your Galleries works great. You gave people some control.
I do like the clean simpleness of your site. Looks very professional.

The LOOK of the website is good.
You need to think about HOW it is being used.
WHO is your audience?
WHAT is your objective?
I don't agree about having a Flash component. It could be great. People will click to a new section whenever they want, regardless.
I'm assuming this is just a test site. But if it's nots, I'd cut down on the number of options. Too many. And don't include a category where you have only one option.
Finally, I think you have real talent. But you need to understand PRINT-MAKING a little better. In other words (in today's digital world), you have to do more with Photoshop.

I like the stealthy, professional look, but do agree with the comments about the slideshow. It's a little slow for my liking, and I prefer to be able to look at pictures for as short or as long as I like.
Apart from that, nice work.

when I click on the softball section in the gallery, my page locks up. I have close the tab or window. I am using FF2.

It works for me on a few different computers, I'm not sure how to fix that one. I'll have to ask my tech guy. Thank you for letting me know.

I love the layout of this site, it's very easy to navigate and see. Is this a total custom site, or is it a prepackage of something? (Not sure if you want to share this info or not).
Does the cart / online ordering work?

website looks good however the image quality is a little poor... might be the pixels or perhaps it's the ISO of the images im not sure. Also it would be good to be able to see thumbnails of each image instead of having to go through each account.

Hi Stephen - here is my one nit-pick:
In the "about me" section - there are multiple glaring grammatical errors. Potential clients will look at this section to help them in their decision making process on whether they should hire you. So, I think you may want to revisit it and make sure it reads well.
(I hope that didn't come across harsh; I really meant it constructively).

Thanks, I'll have to clean that up.

The web site looks good. I like the simplistic feel to it. My only "nit" is that what you have listed in your galleries are really (to me) slide shows, so I would have expected them to be under the "Slideshows" menu option, and Galleries to be more thumbnails or individual images.
In reference to an earlier post, the softball gallery is fine on my machine under FF3, IE7, Netscape, and Maxthon2.

Neat site. I was randomly looking thru your shots and noticed still life image two though... I wish it wasnt a study bible. You should reshoot that with a bible with just the original text in it.
