I have a brand new respect for all of you folks who get band shots, it's tough. Here is my attempt at it. A local Calgary band who might i add were darn good.

Good moments on 2, 3, 4. Flash kills it though. From the first one, I'd say there is a little bit of light in the room, not much at all, but depending on what you were using for gear, you could have gotten by without the flash on all the shots.
What camera, lens, ISO, Apeture, Shutter?

Thanks, I have a Canon 40D, I had the ISO set at 1600, AP was at 3.5 and shutter was 15. I did use a mono pod. the stage lights where just not very bright. this was my first time trying something like this. I got a long way to go.

The 1/15 shutter makes sense on the first one. it's very soft.
I recommend using a faster lens. Something that can get down to f2.8 or lower.
Also, make friends with the sound guy/lighting guy. Tell them you are shooting photos and ask if they can bump up the lights. Most are very willing to help out.
