Just thought I'd let everyone know about this upcoming festival in February. Sax Zim Bog is a great place to find boreal species like pine/evening grosbeak, boreal chickadee, black-backed/three-toed woodpecker, gray jay, great gray/northern hawk//snowy owl, snow bunting, redpolls, etc. This is not a photography-specific festival but there are lots of photographers attending. I went last year and it was very well organized. The locals in the area are very receptive to birders and there are various feeding stations set up around the area.

Check out festival info at http://moumn.org/sax-zim/, and some photos I took there. (http://www.pbase.com/gymell/sax_zim)
