My SunPak DigiFlash 2800 will not work with my cactus recievers. I have both a V2s and V2 and they won't trigger the flash. They both work with my Vivitar 285HV.

To use the Cactus receivers does the flash have to be manual? My SunPak does not have a Manual mode.

Darn...didn't want to have to buy another flash.

If your flash does not have manual mode as an option, I strongly suspect that it won't work with a manual only trigger of any kind, from Power Wizard to eBay cheapie.

I don't think it depends on the flash having Manual mode or not.

I have a Marumi ring flash that's ETTL compatible, but without Manual mode, and I can consistently fire it with my cheap V2s triggers.

Edit: By "Manual mode" I mean the option of manually setting the flash power, not the manual Test button.
