Hey everyone,

So i'm here in the USA, and i'm going to be doing a project in May involving me going to New MExico to do some astronomy and other stuff. I use a Macbook Pro. anyways, is there any company that offers wireless 3G for my macbook pro (purcahsing a reciever this is fine) but doesn't require a 2 year contract or something like AT&T does...I have an iphone 3G, cause i use that to connect to the internet through my computer?

If you 'jailbreak' your iPhone, you can install a tethering app through Cydia for 3G access.

I've heard that. If i jailbreak my phone what will happen when AT&T figures that out?

Absolutely nothing. It isn't the same as unlocking it to move to another Carrier -- jailbreaking is perfectly safe as you can restore it to original any time. It does not void your warranty.

actually, jailbreaking unlocks the iphone.

but it can still be restored to original.... just be careful with the software you use
