A new A3+ printer (the Pixus i9910) has been released in Japan...It uses the new Chromalife 100 ink set which claims 30 under glass in light life, 100 years in an album.

Looks like I should not get an i9900...anyone out these know more? What's the typical lag time we could expect until this printer makes it the US?

The Mobile A4-model iP90 which is also part of the news release is already part of the lineup on canon's website and the info about it is here: http://consumer.usa.canon.com/ir/controller?act=ModelDetailAct&fcategoryid=118&modelid=11009

Who knows about the iP9910. I'm disappointed to see it still having out 2 picoliter drops. Epson seems to have more high end quality photo printers to choose from.

Hellashot, the epsons has 1.5 picalitre, the Canon iP5000 has 1 picalitre, why its not on a photo model I dont know, perhaps because very very few people can notice the difference between a very vibrant printout at 2 picalitre, and a somewhat more dull printout at 1.5 picalitre.
