Beautiful child! Perhaps a little more contrast between the subject and the background would have been more to my liking...

oh sorry... lol

i used the digital rebel
50mm 1.8
ISO 400
F 2.8
SS 1/160

no special lighting he has a patio door with a white translucent curtain behind him in some and to the side of him in some and a very large window to the camera left on the other walll a bright white wall to the camera right which helps fill in the shadows a bit.
everything in the room is white so light bounces all over the place.

Ann,

as usual ... great photos.

Natural light just can't be beat, IMO.

Best regards,
Andy

How did you get him to stay still enough........that's one problem I can't seem to fix!! Great photos...wish I had such a well lit space!

very nice! A real cutie. I have a little girl who is probably around the same age, but I can't get her to sit still enough for photos like that! My recent ones are mostly candids

I love the expression in the top right one, it almost says 'Mummy hasn't noticed yet that I put the whole roll down the toilet.....'

Ann, nice job on these. I hope you are having some prints made for the wall. Good stuff! Thanks for sharing these. Makes me want to skip work today and stay home and photograph my son.
