Farland Head (Portencross) is the foreground with Little Cumbrae and the almost invisible Castle Island the background.
This is the Firth Of Clyde on the west coast of Scotland as of 7 O' Clock this morning.
Somewhere out there lies a galleon of the Spanish Armada which, sadly :( failed to sack England (apologies to my English wife) :?, I love you all, really.
Anyway, I thought the colour of the pebbles on the beach and the boat sort of blended.
What do you think ?

Simply beautiful. Love the colors and the composition.
I'm really glad I found this forum . . . though all of these fabulous locations you're all posting are causing me to yearn for a loooooong vacation in a far away land with my 20D, a few 1GB cards and a bankroll to support the fantasy! ;)

A super composition.
It may be how the photo appears on the screen but it looks to me as though it could benefit from a boost in contrast to 'brighten it up'and make it look superb!

You may be right, Collie, but I took this shot at 7 am and the light looks right to me.

Very nicely done. It gives me the feeling of actually being there. Colors and DOF make it feel "live".

It is a lovely shot. Just a great composition, and the lighting as well.
