Taken on Felixstowe beach in Suffolk, England over Christmas. I'm new at this game, so I'm sure it has some technical faults (comments welcomed), but I just like it alot. Taken with my 75-300.

Great shot, WOW what a contrast that photo shows, kids in winter suits and waves and beach which one normal associates with warm weather. Nice capture

The water to the left almost seems frozen too!

well..I think the composition is quite good...the exposure is a bit faulty on the breaking surf (OE), and I'm not sure if placing the kids a bit off-center would help the general atmosphere of desolation that the contrast between winter clothes/beach scene suggests...but a great pic with a great mood !!

many thanks for all your comments

(ps the kids didn't know better and ended up going in and filling up their wellies!)

Their Bob The Builder Wellies!

Are they your kids? Looks like one for the album to me! I can imagine the older one saying "If you do I will."

Haha  I KNEW IT! And I bet you knew it, too (before)

Let me guess ... your wife gave you a hard time, because you put getting the shot over keeping your kids dry

Best regards,
Andy

Andy - spot on, I was "stupid to think that I could let the kids get that close to the sea without them getting wet"
