UPDATE IN POST #11

Hello All,

I've attempted to build a website today and I was wondering if anyone would be willing to have a quick scan for C&C, there are currently three things I'll point out;

1. I've not yet added any information on the Info page.
2. For the time being I've only added my email as a way of contact.
3. I fear my images are too large, I'm a thinking possible resize of all or just portrait oriented ones.

I also want to try and keep the site as clean, basic and easy to use as possible.

All C&C Welcome.

Thank You,

Jason

Looks good Jason, and I agree those portrait images are pretty big, and didn't fit on my screen without scrolling.

on the gallery page, I'd reduce the size of the header (on my screen i have to scroll down to see all of the photo).
- and one for a more personal perference of mine (which others may or may not share !) - perhaps also for the gallery one, start off with a thumbnail grid open (if that is possible)
apart from that, I like it - very clean

Thank you for the input both - I've just resized the pictures and they appear to have a better fit now.

I'll take a look at the thumbnail options, if there is one, as I'm just fudging my way through at the moment.

Thank You,

Jason

I've just got around to finishing off the site, it's still only basic.

I shamelessly stole some of the forums photo section headings for the info page, it all seems to fit well though.

If anyone has the chance to have a quick scan, then please let me know if you encounter any problems or negative factors.

You have some really great photos so you should get those images on a quality set-up to match those Great Images

Very clean. I really like it. I would have you gallery be an actual gallery instead of a slideshow though. I hate waiting on slideshows, but love clicking through galleries.

I agree with DDCSD great looking, clean, but would rather see click galleries.

Thank You All.

I'll take a look at creating an alternative gallery page later today or on the weekend, I've been using a trial of Fireworks CS4 but a standard gallery may be more practical.

Starting off with an image that's 600px wide and then clicking to a page that has text in the range of 1200px wide feels disjointed to me. I'd rather see the same width to everything...either put a wide (pano) photo up to start, or bring the text into a 600px wide table.

I also feel the white background on the gallery makes it seem out of sync with everything else. I'd change it to use the same background as the rest of the site. I'd limit it to 600px wide too if I was moving my text in.

Thank you for the input.

I've tried to take on board your suggestions and I've updated the site once again, although all this editing is annoying due to my lack of knowledge in this area.

Please could you let me know if the changes have been for better or worse;
