You are forgetting two things (or maybe you already have them) a bag to hold all the above, and a tripod.

I would be tempted to drop the 17 - 40, maybe later pick up a 10 - 22.

It's no big deal, but you can drop the eye-cup (it's known to be the (among the) most useless accessory ever and it will drop by itself, anyway)!

I second Gramps in respect with the switch between 17-40 and 10-22.

Well, what exactly are you trying to do, and what's your prior experience in photography (film or digital)? You're taking a big jump all at once there. There is a thread on Top 10 Starter Lenses (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=56747), but that doesn't mean you should get all of them immediately.

I would probably drop the 85 f/1.8 right off since I gather you are interested in macro work, and you can still use the 100 macro for portraits when the 24-70 or 70-200 aren't right. I'd also be inclined to postpone the ring light; it's valuable, but not invaluable, for macro work; you may be able to do as well with the 580 on a bracket. I don't think I'd bother with the eye cup, an eye cup comes with the camera. I might compromise, getting the 28-135 f/2.8 IS or the 17-85 EF-S IS instead of the three L lenses if you're just getting started. The 17-85 will cover both the wider L lenses, and unless telephoto work is already essential, you can hold off on the 70-200 L for a bit.

You really ought to think about getting a spare battery, and a good tripod and head (especially for macro work).

Where are you buying all of this stuff from?

Drop the 20d and just get the 1DsII FF great for landscapes, it will only double your total.

I don't know about the 10-22 (b/c I don't have it) but the 17-40 I recieved about 10 days ago was wide, but maybe not wide enough.

Not sure I'd choose the Ringlite 14... I found ring flashes quite disappointing.
I prefer fiddling about with regular flash lights and small reflectors, and I'd rather invest in a good tripod (special macro model).

I started with Nikon APS pronea 6i, then I got the FinePix 6900z digital camera, I’m not convince of either images quality , therefore I decided to go for DSLR

You may have forgotten the #1 lens, the 50mm 1.8.
I wouldn't go without it.

I'd drop the 85 in favor of the 100 macro then, and look at the 17-85 (which is wider, but not as long as, the FinePix) instead of the 17-40 and 24-70, maybe adding the 10-22 or Sigma's 12-24. If you intend to go to a larger sensor camera, you might want to get the 12-24 Sigma and the 28-135 IS Canon, which would get you a much wider wide than your FinePix and about the same at the telephoto end. Save more by not getting the ringlight, as it's seriously specialized for close-up; use the 580 with the Off-Camera Cord and a bracket if it's too dark for tripod-mounted macro.

Thinking about it, instead of getting the DVD, I'd wander over to the Canon Digital Learning Center (http://www.photoworkshop.com/canon/index.html) and check out the info there (DR course as well as the 20D stuff), and pick up a good general photography book. And you may want a second card, 1 or 2 GB.

Thank you all ;
I dropped the following items so far :
1.Canon Telephoto EF 85mm f/1.8 USM Auto focus Lens
2.Canon Zoom Wide Angle-Telephoto EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM Autofocus Lens
3.Canon Zoom Telephoto EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS Image Stabilizer USM Autofocus
4.Canon MR-14EX TTL Ring Lite Flash
5.Eye Cup Eb for EOS 10D, 20D, D30, D60, 10s, Elan, Rebel Series, 700

Did I missed any essential staff rather than the bag because I do have tripod.
Do I really need extra 2GB card or shall I grab the new 4GB card only instead of two cards ? What about a softbox that can be attached to the 580EX ? any advise ?

That's a great order you've got there however I totally recommend calling ahead to see what sort of deal they can do for you, even if it is an online company. If you don't save in the order of 5-10% I'd be very surprised. Give it a go and you may be pleasantly shocked.

Good luck

Paul ; I'm planning to buy from B&H Photo, I'm not sure where will the saving should come from ?

It appears that you are down to two lenses, the 17 - 40 & the 100 macro.........I think you are leaving out two better choices. Maybe keep the 100 Macro, get the 24 - 70 and the 70 - 200. Those two are (IMHO) better choices which give you better "range".

The EF 50mm f/1.8 II Autofocus, still on my list

If the seller ( B&H) offers you a discount on this order you might want to take advantage of it and add more glass.............

Nasser

I can’t see any indication for any discount in my cart!! Do they offer discount for such orders?

gramps

I would call them and ask, then you can place the order on the phone.

Nasser

Well I'm far far away from NY. My order will be considered as international order, but still it is less expansive than the local dealer even with the shipping

I would strongly recommend the 24-70, as you'll find it probably will be your main lens.

I had a problem with B&H this week. I ordered about the same $ worth from them, and the order got held up in the "verification" department. They did NOT call me. I only found out when the order was still in the "processing" mode after a couple of days. After calling and giving them the information they needed to verify the order and the credit card, it still seemed like they were taking their own sweet time. I finally talked to a person in Customer Care (or whatever they call it), and he agreed that the verification department fellas were not doing their job. He also upped the shipping from ground to 2nd day air at no extra cost to shorten the cycle for me a little.

Nasser,
Just give them a call in advance and let them know what you're looking to order and ask if they can offer a discount if you buy it all at the same time. Maybe it's an Australian thing but nothing ventured nothing gained.

Get two smaller cards rather than one big one. All your eggs in one basket, you know. And you definitely don't want to have 17-40 L, then just 50 and 100. Either the 24-70 EF L or the 17-85 EF-S instead of the 17-40 will server you better (with my previous stipulation regarding EF-S mount compatibility and future plans).

As has been said on that order you definatly need to ask for a discount. 5% will give $2-300 more for another lens. Even in the UK buying that amount of gear in one go will at least get a decent memory card thrown in if you ask.

Good Luck

Buy as large a CF crd as you can afford. This theory is baseless. You will lose pics whether your CF card is 1MB or 1000000 GBs if it fails! The IDEA is to off load the pics ASAP. So I recommend that you get in the habit of off loading your pics quickly. The larger cards are good if you will be shooting in large bursts.

Not only do you need a BIG bag - you need a cart to carry it all so you don't get a hernia! LOL

With that large of an order B&H is going to call to verify funds anyways, so calling them will just speed up the process of ordering.

Man, that poor UPS guy!
