WTB: (US) Cheap zoom lens

Need a cheap zoom lens. Something like the Canon 28-90mm f/4-5.6 III, or equivalent, would be great. Wider than 28mm would be great, too, if possible.

This is for purposes other than my primary photography, and budget is a serious issue. It will be used on a Canon 10D, so EF-S lenses are not compatible.

I am looking to spend in the $40-$50-ish (PayPal'd & shipped) range. Cosmetics isn't super-critical, but functionality is... IOW: it doesn't need to be pretty but it does need to work.
