In camera monochrome

Was just messing around tonight. No PP here, straight out of the camera. Rebel XTi w. Canon 70-200 f2.8L. 200mm @ f2.8

is there any difference b/w in camera monochrome and simply desaturating a raw image?

not sure. didnt really feel like doing any PP so I just did it in camera.

I think there is no difference. The camera is always shooting RAW and then passes it to an internal converter (correct me if I am wrong). So I think you get a simple desat. within the camera..
