It was some time ago since I shared any photos but now I think it's time!

Last Saturday I had a portrait session which had to be shot under quite challenging circumstances; time 5-6 pm (i.e. completely dark), outdoors in - 5 C. Earlier the day we got snow but luckily the sky cleared a couple of hours before.

The session took place at Södermalm in central Stockholm (Sweden).

Okay, I really, really, really like all the images but there is something about # 1 that is almost voyeuristic in painting their love. Great work.

Absolutely stunning. I believe you just inspired me to do something....... i'm not sure what yet but hopefully it'll be half as beautiful as these.

(OT, but was he rich?)

Thanks! I actually got quite inspired myself as it was my first attempt ever to use lightning! Normally I shoot all my work during daytime in natural light and I was actually very nervous for this job!

I can't help smiling when I read your final question, the first thing my husband said when I got back and he saw some photos was that I had photographed Freddy Krüger from the horror movies :-D! The truth is however that they were absolutely adorable together!

Great Job on these! You defiantly do not need to be nervous.
I kind of feel bad because the first thing I thought of when I saw these, was "is he rich".

I looked up and down at all of these I can't seem to find much of anything wrong. GREAT PICTURES!!! Lighting is right on, given the conditions you had to shoot in. One thing, in #7, the shadow in her eye - possibly lighten it.

beautiful! please let us know what kind of lighting you used.

Thanks all!

Some of you asked about the lightning and I had two Profoto studio flashes, one high in front of them and the other low behind their backs (at least in the first photos). 400ISO and shutter speed of between 1/30 and 1/100 (depending on the lens, hand held).
