View Full Version : WORLDWIDE PHOTO WEEK: PART 140 -- Precision

BLS
24th of November 2008 (Mon), 06:28
The theme for this week is "Precision." Be as imaginative/creative as you like when interpreting the topic -- the sky's the limit!

Here are the rules:

1. Shots need to be taken between sunrise Monday and sunset the following Sunday. Because this activity is supposed to encourage us to get out and shoot, please don't post old shots from your archives. Snap shots and art are equally welcome -- just get out & shoot, and then share!

2. Post your shots at any time during the week.

3. Post a maximum of two shots if you're uploading them to POTN (i.e., attaching them). You can post more than two if you're linking to shots that are not hosted by POTN (i.e.,embedding them), but keep within POTN rules. Also keep within POTN rules about size. A copy of the size rules can be found here: http://photography-on-the.net/forum/...d.php?t=194511 (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=194511)

An index to previous weeks can be found here: http://photography-on-the.net/forum/...d.php?t=170603 (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=170603)

That's it! Have fun!

Me too. :-?

John, I keep thinking along your lines -- tools, like micrometers.
I have chores to do today for my parents, so I'll keep my eyes open for ideas.
Maybe I'll get inspired.

Is that a camera?
I looked and looked at it, trying to decide what it is.
Finally settled on a camera because of your remark about AF.

If it's a camera, it's nothing I ever saw before!

It's a Mamiya C3 Twin Lens Reflex. It belonged to my dad;)

Gosh, things are quiet here.

Looks like I won't post this week.
I did a fair amount of shooting, but not for the theme. :(
And then there was Thanksgiving.

Hope others did better than I did!

I had intended to go to the Tomb of the Unknowns to shoot some precision marching but wasn't able to get down there. :(

I love tools like those, Joayne.
At antique shops & flea markets they always catch my eye.

For our new theme, let's shoot Trains or Stairs or both, your choice.

I thought we might enjoy having two topics to think about.

Here's the new thread: http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?p=6790295#post6790295

Have fun!

A thoroughly modern micrometer!
I guess that's what it is.
And with a built-in tape measure?
Doesn't get much better than that!:)
