The music was quite bizarre ... and seductive. A strange mix of computers, a robot(!), and traditional mask dancing. I guess that's MIT for you. A friend asked me to photograph it for their group.

looks like you had plenty of light! now yr glad to have brought the ultra-wide angle, no?

the b/w could use some more contrast. 1 and 5 are nice images.

i really like this shot:

Thanks, Narlus. ... and thanks for the pre-shoot advice. I ended up going over to Paul's at LensProRental and he hooked me up with a couple of fast lens--very nice of him. The Phoenix has contacted me for some of the shots, so we'll see what happens.

This is my first time shooting RAW. What a PITA, esp. since my old CS2 can't read the files...... argh!

I like the second.
The landscape images were larger then the forum rules allow, so I had to convert them to links.

On a side note: PSCS2 can probably read the files if you convert them to DNG...

Sorry for the bother, Rene. I've fixed the sizing.

Nice. Thanks :)

Some of the images appear to have quite a reddish / magenta cast on the skin by the way.
Here is the last after a curves correction:

Still not perfect, but more neutral IMO.

Thanks, René. I'm not used to wb correcting in RAW -- I think I played around with the color temperature.

On a different note, the Boston Phoenix did run one of my photos, BUT with NO photo credit! That's pretty irritating since I provided them out of courtesy to a friend and specifically required photo credit. I've emailed my contact there to have them fix it. I hope they're responsive.

EDIT UPDATE: They've fixed the photo credit thing.... Good!
