I am wanting to buy my daughter a point and shoot camera for Christmas. She is eight, so I didn't want to spend more than $70 or $80. I was impressed when I started looking that I could even buy a nice camera for that price range these days! The only problem is that I can not find one that supports the CF card...and can only find one that supports SD.
anyone know of a camera in this price range that supports CF?

The P&S cameras moved away from CF to SD (or other, proprietary, cards in the case of Fuji and Sony)a few years ago; you'll be hard-pressed to find a new one that takes CF at any price. Used, maybe a PowerShot A95 or G3 will fall into that price range. New, there aren't (as you're finding) not many cameras in that price range no matter the media.

That would explain why I'm having such a hard time finding one I guess! Thanks. Looks like I will just have to go with one that uses SD. I have found some great deals...

FWIW, I have an A95 and it's been great. I'm not selling mine, but more putting in a good word for it if you decided to go the used route.

I was going to suggest used as well. I have an A70 (also not for sale) that uses CF cards.
