Wildlife/other sites near Tokyo?

Does anyone have recommendations for places near Tokyo that are easy to get to without knowing Japanese, sights to see, photograph, etc?

My next trip will likely be in January--but I don't mind the cold, and I might making another visit later in the year, so advice for any season will help. I have covered a lot of the city in terms of exploring on previous trips. I am looking for something different on this trip. I would be most interested in nature & wildlife, but other recommendations are certainly appreciated.
