I am really confused as to what lenses are out there for a A85? I think there are three, the Tele photo, wide angle and the close up one. But whats the difference between the Tele and wide angle lenses? I've only had the camera for a month and I tried to do research...but I still dont understand the lense talk. :(

Any help?

Telephoto lens = increase the power of your zoom

Wide angle lens = the name says it all, it gives your camera a "wider vision" so you can incorporate more stuff in your pictures.

Close up lens = you can take pictures of very small objects from a very short distance, but I'm not sure you need that as your A85 has an incredible "Macro option"

Thanks, if I were to get a Wide angle, would it allow me to be closer to the car while still capturing more the background also? Secondly, can you buy the lense adapter and leses as some sort of package deal? That would fantastic, but I won't get my hope up.

I'll see if I can get an example of the type of picture I'd like to take....

"would it allow me to be closer to the car while still capturing more the background also" -

yes that's the main purpose of that type of lens. But don't forget that everything appears smaller in a picture with a wide angle lens, so you will have to get closer to your car than usual when you take your pictures if you want it to be as big in your picture as usual.

As far as lenses coming in packages, it's possible. But bying all those lenses from the same company isn't necessarily the best thing to do. All lenses are not equal in term of quality and it's very possible that you'll have to buy from different companies if your goal is quality. The best advice I can give you : read as many reviews as you can on the web. For example, Canon makes excellent cameras, but their telephoto lens that's made for your A85 and my A95 doesn't get extremely good reviews on the net. I'm also considering bying one like that but first, I intend to gather as much information as possible about lenses made by other companies. Take your time and read a lot!!
