Well my 20D came in yesterday. Got a chance to play with it a bit today. I have the Tamron 17-35mm f2.8/4 XR Di lens and the Canon 50mm macro. A spare battery and 1GB Ultra II Sandisk CF card.

Anything I should check for/out or get offhand? I"m pretty new to the world of DSLRs.
I know my old Sony F707 had some blue flash issues when they first came out. Anything issues like that for the 20D?

You shouldn't have any worries about any bugs. Go play and have fun!

Congratulations!!
The only problem that the 20D should give you is the inability to put it down! :D

Congratulations. You are going to love it. The only problem I've had with my 20D is not having enough time to use it. I am looking forward to having enough tiime to get a photo I can post here!

You will find these forums a great place to learn and share...

Mine just arrived with a bunch of lenses!!! I quickly ran out to the front porch to shoot some macros of flowers! hahahhaa

I already hate my work schedule!!!!!!!!

Must go re-read EOS sticky and see the differences in 10 and 20D settings and 'stuff'. I have my Magic Lantern book pre-ordered from Amazon - really disappointed that they never saw fit to release one for the 10D. :*(

My spouse says we need to paint the bathroom this weekend... I say *HE* can paint, and I'll document the occasion! ha!

Just got mine too. 16-35, 24-70, and 70-200IS, BG-E2, and a little more. It's almost overwhelming. Being a former Nikon user (as in 1968-vintage Nikon F's), going to Canon is quite a switch. I think I can take the switch in stride, however.
