It appears that your 50 1.4 is razor sharp at 1.4 nice work

Terrific series...looks like the kind of place you could use one of everything in the bag.

Wherebouts in NC?

Are those footings in #1 original? Interesting way to elevate a structure.

wow, thanks guys for all the positive comments. I concur, the 50 1.4 is money, couldn't be happier with it or the 5d while we're at it :)

As for the foundation, I believe that building was moved to the park property from another location so it's footings could be for effect, I'm not sure. I'm forwarding this to the parks and rec director tomorrow to see if she has any info on it. Good question for sure.

The park is located in Dallas, not too far from Charlotte, NC.

I'll have to make a note of the location for when I get down there for the weekend of the 600. We usually get a day off that week (Friday?) when Lowe's Motor Speedway is dark. Last couple of years I've gone up to Linville Falls but I need something different...

don't expect too much. it is a neat place but there's only a few buildings like these. a coworker (and fellow photog) and I ventured over there today at lunch since it was dreary and overcast out. made for some nice b&w conversions.

Hit me up on pm when you head this way and I'll try to make up a highlight tour for you. I'm about 30 mins from the speedway.

Will do. We usually stay at the Hilton on JM Keynes (?) .. University?
