Hey there,

I am interested in making a physical portfolio and was looking for some tips in terms of presentation. I basically want to have something tangible that I can bring if I am looking to sell my stuff or have it displayed, and I want it to be a little classier than a 3 ring binder with clear plastic sleeves, unless that is an industry norm.

Any idea on what I should do? Where/Should I get nicer prints than just costco or something? Of course I would have a digital portfolio as well, but it is nice to have something that you can touch.

Thanks so much!

check out www.itoya.com they have what is called a presentation/display book that is a folder with 24 sleeved sheets. i have one for 8x10, but they have for all other sizes. also could probably do a search for photo labs, and find something local, or maybe a place to send off. i've had some photos printed from a place called buckeye photo. they have a setup to upload the digital files, can image process them, and print them and ship them to you in a few days.
good luck to you, hope some of my info has been helpful.

I use the Itoya 11x14 book, it's very nice. I get most of my 11x14's from Costco, just $2.99 each, makes for a very economical photo book.

I also use the Itoya books. I get them at Aaron Brothers when they have the 40% or 50% coupon floating around.

I'm a big fan of the Panodia stuff. Handmade in France, great paper and a classy simple leather cover.
