I'm doing some photo edits for my cousin's family and I want to make sure when I crop I crop them in a manor they can get photo prints done without problems. I have photoshop CS2

Just keep a 3:2 ratio...
6x4 and 12x8 are popular sizes.
8x10 or 16x20 need a 4:5 ratio which means having to take a little off the sides (or the top and bottom depending on orientation.)
Important lesson on why it's usually good to shoot just a hair loose to allow for 4:5 crops

Agree, It's a lesson you learn real quick the first time you can't provide the size the customer wants because you were too tight.
