Love it Marie, just what I said in the post with the cosy fire. same goes here. The pubs should hire you to take photo's for them. :) :) :) I'll be your agent, I'll work for a couple of pints of guinness     well maybe a little more than a couple

Thanks Mills

here is another shot but not the full staircase

this picture is a little lopsided .
I was hoping to drop in (there) and get a better shot soon again
but you will get an idea that it turns a few corners

and coming down for whoever is drinking a lot....
it turns even more corners

Thanks Sandy,
I know I showed some of these books cases before

(I think I got the title wrong as it's not a glass cabinet
but you know what I meant )

but this time most of the people who were having lunch had gone
and I was able to kneel up on the sofa's
as I knew the lighting was so bad and I was trying to do better then last time
less blurhttp://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif

the owner had told me months ago he was revamping the place

that was not such good news http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_sad.gif as I loved it as it was
(remember the original shots last year)

but I was so glad to see it the same upstairs
all except for the new stair carpet
which was just fine by me
http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_confused.gif if that is what he meant by revamping
that's just great

I took a shot of the coloured bottles behind a counter

http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_confused.gif
but the blur is the problem.
the place is fairly dark by day
god knows what it is like by night

but the bottles look nice anyway
and I don't think you would notice too much of the blurhttp://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_confused.gif

not after the other few guinnessssssssss.

edit later >

decided to let you have it
(the bottles shot)

Very interesting and well made shots, Marie. It seems to me you spend a fair amount of time in pubs. Fortunately, your motives seem to be pure.

Like the bottles Marie, very bright and colorful. Now is there more blur before or after the several pints of guinness.  I'll have to run a little test.

That looks like a great place to curl up with a good book on a rainy day...

Did you add the grain in the first shot, or is that how it looked right out of the camera?

it is very nice and I think a very cosy place Lonnie
large areas and small cosy nooks.
lots of books around (locked up) give a good atmosphere
and open but sheltered places outside if anyone wants to sit out there
( with the smoking ban in full force over here I imagine that happens a lot now)

I added the grain.
the original was not much different
but it brought down the tones in the wood slightly also

You should have bought it, if for nothing else but to wear it on St Patricks day.

Yes quite a few of the bars (pubs) do that, especially in New York or Boston. Never tried it don't really like the looks of it.
