You might remember the picture I posted a few days ago from Canyonlands Nat'l Park in Utah. This was taken from about the same spot at about the same time, except here I zoomed in to the full 90mm of my Leica Digilux 2. I liked the sun hitting the distant butte. Notice the various layers of rock that Mother Nature has spent millions of years to build up and then wear away.

Thanks everyone for your kind comments!

Nice shot, looks like a Kodachrome.

I agree, Cactus. Different cameras seem to be "tuned" for different color characteristics. I've noticed that my Leica does seem to produce photos that resemble Kodachrome slides.

Yes! I looked again to make sure the photo wasn't scratched or something.

Very nice. I like the varying colors and shades of each distinct horizontal layer from the back (sky) to the front (light rocks). I hope to go there one day.

Thank you very much, everyone! I realized today that this shot is not from Canyonlands Nat'l Park; it was taken from Dead Horse Point, about 10-15 miles away (as the crow flies). I was trying to find the name of the sunlit butte on a chart when I discovered my mistake. How embarassing! Sorry!

That's OK, Scott. I knew where it was, but it's the shot that's important.
