I have a question. what is the difference in the parmeters on the DRebel
I have mine set to Pa-1 and have notice i have
pa-A
Pa-1
Pa-2
Pa-3
pa-0
pa-5

so which one of these do I use? what are they all for. sorry guess I need to read the manual some more but easier to ask here. and get answer faster.

It depends on what you plan to do with the photos. Most folks who are heavy into post-processing, (ie. Photoshop, Paintshop Pro, etc...), tend to prefer the parameter that leaves all settings at "0", (straight down the middle). On my camera it's "Parameter 2". I don't know what the individual parameters on the DRebel are set to do, so you'll have to see by selecting each one, then look at what it does with contrast, sharpness, saturation and color tone.

If you're of the "point and shoot" type who prefer to go directly to printing, generally you'll want something stronger than "Pa-2". I believe the default for your camera is "Pa-1". That particular setting should be decent enough for direct printing. You're more than welcome to play around and experiment. As a matter of fact, I recommend it.

On my 300D (European version of Rebel) there's:

Parameter 1 - sharpness and contrast set to +1
Parameter 2 - neautral, contrast, sharpness saturation and colour tone all set to zero
Adobe RGB - sets colour space from sRGB to Adobe RGB (Adobe RGB has a wider gamut)
Set 1 to Set 3 - custom parameters enabled by using:

thanks for the help I appreciate it much. I will play around with it some more and see which one works best for me.

And if you shoot RAW...these are out the window?
