I got this pict at the local zoo today. Kinda wish I could get a photo this good of one in nature but I like the pic nonetheless. Any criticism is welcomed. Thanks

And one more. I cropped this one, it showed his whole body but I liked the face a lot.

Interesting angle. Most people shoot a barn owl straight-on so that both eyes are showing.

You shot this one on a three-quarter profile. Maybe your intention was to show the beak feather texture more. It's quite a strange bird.

I actually like the texture I got on her facial feathers a little more. That and she was always looking at everything, except me :)

Really good job. As for getting one in the wild - good luck! I don't think you'll get this close.

If you were selling large prints of the owl, they would go good in a three-shot set. One is the left 3/4 profile, one is the right 3/4 profile, and one would be head-on.

Boy, if you had those hanging on the wall, it would scare the crap out of little kids.

LOL

Why not convert to black and white and do 2 shots police style - front and side

I like these a lot, especially the angle. The ones I've seen straight on, you couldn't see the beak very well.

Yes, and then quietly stick it on a bulletin board at the local post office.
