This is the first photo outting I have been on since going to Reelfoot Lake back in early January. There is a nice, small park across the Ohio river in Indiana that looks square on the city of Louisville, KY. Every photographer (it seems) in the city has taken countless photos from here and I decided to add my own to the list.

This was taken about 45 minutes after the sun went down. I printed it out at 18"x10" and it really shines. Shot in RAW. I changed the WB to Tungston, added some blue hue, cropped to 18"x10" and removed a crane that was an eyesore in the right of the shot.

The thumbnail or even the linked larger sized image does not do this justice. When viewing at 200% in the full image, it is actually possible to read a caution sign that is in the middle of the image at the river's edge. However at 7.5 MB, the full jpg was unrealistic for me to upload and post, though I thought about it.

I hope you all enjoy this as much as I do. It is one of my favorite shots to date.

Thanks. Yes, the lack of noise on the new cameras (1D MkII and 20D) is amazing. I love it. Of course, keeping the ISO as low as you can helps a lot. As this is a trial image, I am hoping to get more of these, in better conditions with the other buildings lit up as well. I will post another version when I get one.
