I've been shooting for about ten years, but always shot natural light. Finally decided to buy a small lighting setup, so ended up going with the Calumet 2250ws kit (that's what i bought so please don't tell what else I should have bought).

I also happened to buy the Litelink kit that came along with it. It's two Litelink transmitters/receivers.

So, here's what I don't understand. If one of these units is attached to the camera and another is attached to ONE light, will that trigger all the other lights in sync, or do I need one reciever for each light?

The reason this baffles me is that it's a three light setup (x3 750ws) and yet the "system" comes with two units.

The package came today and I haven't had a change to even experiment. But since I was hoping to test it out this holiday weeked, I want to know if I'm missing equipment.

One last thing, I also bought two sync cables.

Do I have what I need or not?

One transmitter on your camera, and one receiver on one of the lights. The rest of the lights should trigger from their optical sensors, thats how mine works. I have the Calumet Genesis 2000 series lights and some cheap ebay wireless triggers.

OK. Thanks. That's what I thought when I bought them but the little booklet that came with it made it sound as if you needed one for each light and I got scared. :)

Hi, photomatt8

I have similar setup as yours (430EX II, enay trigger pt-04 TM, genesis 200). how do you make the speedlight and Genesis work together via the wirelss trigger? any sync problem?
Thank you

No sync problems at all. I just have the wireless transmitter on the camera, and a wireless receiver on my speedlite. I usually have my speedlight back behind the subjects to light up the background. When the speedlite fires, the optical sensors on the Genesis strobes detects it and fires the strobes simultaneously. Works great.

I believe there is an optical slave setting on the Genesis strobes, you might have to turn that on, can't remember for sure, I'm not near mine right now to check.
