No, I did not change the exposure. I switched to manual mode to get the same exposure for all the shots. The fact is that the sky is much brighter when you look towards the sun. The darkest area is near the direction facing away from the sun by about 135 degrees.
The settings were as follows:

This is actually the aim of a good stitching: To make it impossible to tell where the individual photos overlap. I do all my panorama shooting without tripod and do the work of fine tuning with brain and computer ...
