Hey guys, just like to ask. Is it possible to rig a F430 underneath? Has anyone tried? My rig consist of RB 100 magnets and a 1.75 inch pole...

I was thinking, if it doesn't work, i'll have to make a suction cup for super cars.

If you're going to use suction cups, made sure that you inform the owner that suction cups could possibly leave minor marks (nothing a little polish and wax cant take care of though).

McGwuire's Quick Detailer cleaned the rings off my metallic black car with a little rubbing.

I think his main concern is also whether or not his rig will FIT underneath an F430. There are many possible mounting locations for your rig...Obviously the bumpers will give you the most clearance, but I don't know what kind of shot you're aiming for. I tried it looking up the ground clearance specs for you but I couldn't find anything strangely....However, from pictures, always remember the driver will add significant weight to the car, so picture the clearance to be less than what you see in pics.

I think i'll make a suction cup rig for the ferrari and other super cars. And the best thing I found out is that it only cost less then 1/4 of my current under car rig... I think it's less time consuming on the setup.

Possible to ride alongside for rolling/moving shots?

If it is a higher end car I shoot from another car. Works out well.

did that a lot of times, wouldn't want to. The point of getting it rig is to get angles where you can't get in a car trunk or window.

What kind of magnet's are you using? (saw in the first post but couldnt find any info on them) Where did you get them at? I plan on making a suction and magnetic rig very soon. Thanks.

I have a dual setup using magnets from www.kjmagnetics.com and pinch weld clamps. I think with this combination it should work well.

On your issue, you would have to test the magnets on the underside of the Ferrari. A lot of high end cars have an insulation coating on the underbody for road noise. It doesn't hurt to try, though... I would test as soon as possible before the shoot so that you have time to gather other materials if yours does fail. Speaking of which, you can use some materials from your under-car rig - like your aluminum poles and such.

I've used suction cups on an F430 Spider, worked fine. The F430 has a lot of ground clearance however, you may find it hard mounting a magnet/clamp to something. The F430 has more aerodynamics under the car than on top and I certainly wouldn't want to clamp anything to it.

I haven't rig the ferrari yet, but i'm building my "On The Roof car rig MKII" ... can't wait...

I shot this 2 days ago with my rig MKI, will post rig and pp later. Now building a T setup. Next car might be a Ford Mustang GT or Brabus CLS....

just in case you all are wondering what car is this. It's a Supra, with 700-800hp, could easily reach 300km/h ++ ... And damn its hard to drive!

Oh sorry, I recalled seeing a F430 thread on in the Transportation section, but just remembered its pics by Chester.
