I currently have a Sony Trinitron 19" CRT monitor. It's huge, and takes up my whole desk. I would like to replace it with a good LCD screen. Can anyone recommend a good LCD for photography work (post processing, etc.)? I would like to stay in the $300 or less range. Getting a used one on ebay would be good with me. Please give model #'s. Thank you for your time.

I don't think you can go wrong if you get something with a high refresh rate (the lower the ms the better), high contrast ratio and something that's a recognized brand name...compare a few then go for the best one you can afford :)

Well, I bought a Samsung a few years ago for about $300 and it was super bright and super fast (refresh), but I had to sell it because you couldn't get an accurate reading of exposure of my photos. If I sat there in my chair, looking at the LCD, then I drop my head about 3 inches, then the brightness changed on the screen. It was very ticky about what angle you view the screen at. I need something that doesn't do that.
