Hmmm... It should be just fine here. I recently added hotlink protection to my site to prevent bandwidth theft, but both "http://www.photography-on-the.net/" and "http://photography-on-the.net/" are in the allowed list. As long as my pictures are in a message here, they should display fine. When you're looking at this thread, what does the address in your browser's address bar look like?

I just tried it in three different browsers (IE, Firefox and Opera) with cleared caches. As long as I'm calling the images from this domain, they displayed fine in all three browsers.

It gives the message when i copied and pasted the pic link(http://www.ldphotography.net/cdpf/knottsduck01.jpg).

Maybe cuz im veiwing from the UK ?

EDIT - even clicking on the links to your albums in your sig.ALL the pics are showing the red X's

Copying and pasting is definitely not working (as it shouldn't). It should, however, display just fine when you look at the thread. Where you're from makes no difference Damien commented about some of my pictures in another thread. He could see them, and he's in the UK.

The only thing that matters is the domain name that is calling the pictures. In this case, that's photography-on-the.net.

Look up at your address bar right now as you're reading this, and tell me exactly what it says up there.

I'm stumped. That URL works just fine for me in all browsers. Try putting the "www." before the address. Does that work for you? What browser are you using? You might want to try clearing your cache and see if that helps.

That link just takes me right back here to this thread. What were you trying to point to?

I was just showing that the url at on this thread is a little different than the ones that alan posted but that both or all bring you back here and display the photo's I can't understand why alan is just getting the red x. Maybe I don't understand the problem.

Oh. I didn't understand what you were saying. :o

Alan told me in PM that the images from my site aren't even displaying for him on my own web site. Something is definitely screwed up, but I don't think it's on my end. He said he was going to try rebooting his PC and reset his connection later and see if that helped.

What's the common denominator? What are your security settings like? Are they really high?
