Canon S5IS - No conditiion of battery indicator

My Canon S5IS has no information on if the battery's getting low..
I've checked the manual and there's no information. It would be nice to know when the battery's about to die so that I can then prepare myself for the next shot.

I've posted this question on Canon's S5IS forum and so far have gotton no replies.
And, I don't even know how long the battery would last when I'm taking Movies. Again, the manual shows no information on that.

Any ideas?

You can use the CHDK "hack" and it will show the batteries life right on the screen at all times. CHDK also allows you to record longer video.
