Hi Forum,
Does anyone of you have any more information about this camera? I know it may have 15 megapixel-full-frame sensor. Any more info or links?
Thanx,
Eric

AFAIK, the EOS3D is an old unsubstantiated rumor for what the 5DII may have been. In theory it would have been a digital equivalent to the EOS-3. I don't think there is any evidence that Canon actually plans to introduce such a camera.

Damn shame, if you ask me.
If the 5D II was given the 1 series AF, it'd pretty much be there.
Obviously, Canon knows the 1 series' AF is pants.. it's just spin that they say they are either protecting the 1 series line up or re-using a system that has had no complaints.

It would make sense actually. For every other model canon has a lesser alternative. XS to the XSi, 40D to the 50D, 1D to the 1Ds...

The the 50D is an upgrade, not a lesser model to the 40D.
In addition, the 1D is not a lesser model to the 1Ds, one is targeted for photojournalism and sports, the other for studio work. It would be more correct to say the 5d is a lesser model to the 1Ds, and the 50d is the lesser model of the 1D
