I have a panoramic image and I want to make a frame for it and then get it matted and put into the frame. What is a good size for me to make the image? I want it big enough to see but not to big where it will be hard to frame. What is like the limitations for matt size that a custom framer would have without having to make a custom order to matte the image. I want to keep the cost low because I am a college students and do not have a lot of money and I want to get a nice gift for my parents, such as one of my panoramic from the top of Whiteface mountain in New York.
Thank you for your help.

Any way you slice it you're probably facing a custom matte/framing job.
How wide is the space where you want to hang the image?

I'm pretty sure you can get the matte any size you require. Speak to your local framing shop, see what they can organise for you.
