Hello all,

Thought that a thread like this might yeild some neat photos. Below you'll see two of mine with more to come. One is a shot of a Red Tailed Hawk flying into the sunset and the other is of 2 RTH's sitting on perches on the tarmac. The first is on the bottom right and the other is near the top left. If someone knows how to do the circle or arrow thing a ma bob, go for it!

Ok, I know you've already seen it, but what's an "airport birds" thread without a snowy owl? ;)

Teriffic snowy owl shot, and what a backdrop. Thanks for sharing. BTW, how did you get so close to the airport fence with a camera and long lens?

Thanks! There are usually a few snowies at the MSP airport every winter. This is away from the main terminal, closer to more of the cargo area (alot of FedEx, UPS, etc.) At this particular part there was a small processing plant of some sort, and a bunch of birders were out watching the owl. Actually I found the group of birders before finding the owl. After 15 minutes or so, security chased us away. I'm sure they're used to birders being out there, since word spreads quickly and everyone is always out there looking for the snowies!
