Thought I'd post a shot I took of a building in Albany in August. I'm not sure of what the building is, but all I know is it's located above the museum. This is my first posted pic, as I am very new, but hopefully I get things that I consider worthy of this site in time.

Taken with a little A80. Comments highly requested.

Yeah, did my best. Didn't have a tripod at the time. In fact, I still don't.

That building houses the NY State Museum, Archives and Library. You were standing on the Rockefeller Empire State Plaza. It's a very impressive building. I forget the constuction method used, but it is the largest of it's kind in the world.

From where you were standing behind would have been the NY State Capitol. Did you get any pictures of it? It looks like you were there on a great day.

I did take some more pictures, but they were all cloudy. It was a good day, but being in a hurry I didn't get to take many decent shots. I was heading to work after a dentist appointment.

Whereabouts in Troy are you Vita Rara? I'm in Troy too.

To think, I work in Green Island every day and I didn't even know where this was. I guess thats what I get for living 45 minutes away from where I work.

Nice shot :) Who knew Albany had something this nice (Besides the egg)

The egg was actually behind me to the left. When it warms up I want to get a complete gallery of the area.

Figured I'd toss in an image of the egg. Extremely unique structure to those who haven't seen it. Quite amazing.
