I have been using this bit of free software for about a week and it is so good and it is free. Anyone who shoots raw should try it. There does seem a hitch with it at the moment it seems to work best with xp and certain computer chips not Macs..tao

Interesting indeed.
This review shows that this program can produce better detail than even C1 Pro.

can it be installed on more than I PC or is registration fixed for 1 PC

Haven't tried to isolate Spyware,. I doubt it though.
The developers are former employees of and developers of "Capture1"

I have not gotten any Emails either.

Its free because it's beta etaf. I've tried it but for some odd reason I cant seem to get better results in it versus C1 Pro, I'm probally just too accustomed to C1Pro knowing how to make it look best.

RSE has potential, but there are some substantial bugs they are trying earnestly to resolve. It has great workflow, but it is only a RAW converter - nothing more. The quality of the RAW conversions for my G3 are better than Adobe Camera Raw, but not as good as Canon's software nor BreezeBrowser.

Is that the embedded software in zoombrowser

I saw a demo by Andy Rouse at the Focus show at the NEC last week. Although the software does look good i was dismayed to see that there was no mac version.

Free is good, but free that does this

RawShooter essentials 2005 has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

I can do without!

I like it and it works really good on my pc...............

I always used ACR, but this is much easier and I like the controls.

etaf,

Yes, I am referring to the RAW conversion program linked to ZoomBrowser [File Viewer Utility 1.32.]

I know it is slow and clunky, but I have never been able to get any other RAW converters to match the quality of the output I get from the Canon converter [except BreezeBrowser, which I am told uses the Canon algorithms.]

Thanks for the link.
It seems to work fine on my windows XP home edition.
Easy to use and very intuitive.

Got it. Thanks. Fixed by fine looking all black conversions. Now I can really play with it.

Seems a good little program for a freebie.

Worth some playing around with.
