I'm reading more about jpeg2000. It has an JPF extension. Is anyone familiar with these files?

Does anyone use other jpeg saving plug-ins for photoshop that use "better" processes for saving jpeg files over Photoshops standard?

I personally use JPG only. Not so confident about the quality of JPEG2000.

A big minus is no EXIF data (at least in the Photoshop plugin)... Otherwise does a good job. If you need 16 bit jpegs, this is the one. It is my understanding the reason it isn't used more widely is there are still outstanding Patent/legal issues to be resolved. Once that it settled (if ever), it should quickly replace .jpg as the standard.

JPEG2000 is a nice marketing concept, but it is not much of an accepted standard.

Not very useful for what we are doing.
