View Full Version : A Canon SLR with video capability?....

I do love my Canon Rebel XT, but since I've been creating a lot of slideshows, I've
decided to add a bit of video to them and my XT just can't do that.
So, I bought a Canon S5IS which not only takes photos, but also takes excellent video's and the audio is in "Stereo" ... but, the photos don't really compare with my XT. I know that Nikon's D90 has video capability, but its much too expensive for me.
So, I'm just wondering if and/when Canon would ever consider adding video capabilities to one of their SLR's...
Does anyone have any info?
Thanks

I suspect that every DSLR from Canon and Nikon will have some degree of video capability from this point on.

Same suspicion here, but I'm surprised that the D3x is videoless..... perhaps Nikon was already too far in their D3x design when the incredible market response to the 5D2 video became clear?

Hmmm.... Haven't seen the specs for the D3x. If it doesn't have it, I suspect you're correct.
