I purchased Photoshop Elements 7.0 (PSE 7.0) today and have spent most of the day trying to learn it, as up until now, I have solely used Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo for my retouching needs.

I you-tube'd some videos on HDR and tried out my first one with a crappy, VERY CRAPPY, photo I had.

I'm not real sure of the techinical steps I took, as I paused and played the video step-by-step. The final photo came out a little too dark, but oh well.

Just wanted to share it with you all, hopefully my 'skills' will improve!

I'm not familiar with your program, but it seems to have done a nice job. But, once the HDR part is done, reopen the render in the PSE7 and adjust the brightness, noise reduction and sharpening in there. Finishing the HDR part is only half of the process. :)

I did not think HDR was possible with PSE, as it could not handle 32-bit depth images. I think, technically speaking, this is exposure blending as there's no way to do tone mapping in PSE. Not knocking your results...they are great!

True. I just didn't know what it's official name was. I saw a video on youtube that talked about tricking PSE into working with layers to achieve the results. Would this still be considered HDR or just some PP work?
