I had said I would try to get back to shoot a couple of photos on the other side of the dam from the gatehouse I had posted in an earlier thread,

well today was the day.
Looking down the South side of the dam, the circle at the base is a huge fountain

Here is the lower lake, this is open to the public for fishing and swimming

Neat shots, a pic of the lake in the summer would be awesome too, so remember :P.

Nice. Looks like all your snow is going away... :) I'd like to see that second one in summer, too.

I plan on it and in the fall to get some of the colors, I have to time the sun a little better though so I won't have that flare I had on this one, I was practically shooting into the sun. It was just off to my right and low in the horizon.

You know, all my visits to Connecticut have stayed too close to I-95. I realize there is some beautiful country there, and I intend to do a better job of touring it one of these days. Thanks for showing us some of its beauty.

I personnaly avoid I-95 at all costs
Connecticut is pretty diverse, the southern part you have the ocean and the quint seaport Towns and the Northern section you have the woodlands and Mountains. and a little bit of everthing in between, that and it being small, about 130 miles wide by 50 miles long. you can see a lot with out much traveling.
