You can't beat this designed for Digital Sigma 18-125mm lens for the money any. I'm sure it doesn't match up to an L lens but for around $270 USD I don't think it can be beat for an all purpose lens

these where taken from the exact same spot, one extreme to another.
1) 18mm f13 at 1/180 ISO 100

Impressive. Very sharp, especially at 18mm.

I'd be happy with results like those too. Maybe it is time to consider something other than Canon glass.

It's always hard to tell image quality when images are shrunk to such a small size. Any chance to post a 1:1 section of those? And it'd be interesting to see it at 18mm & f3.5

Thanks Stan; it impressed me, Sheldon I'm very happy with the results and the quality of the lens, seems very well made and comes with a lens hood. Here's some reviews from fred mirandas web site.

I would recommend this lens for anyone who is looking for an all purpose starter lens. I'm using it on my 10D, But I think it might be better than the kit lens, Now all I have to do is find a Canon lens cap for it

Hellashot not sure how I could do that when this one is posted at the largest allowable size 800x600, my host gallery limits the size is some respects.

That lens looks pretty good Sandy. The bottom half of the 2nd picture appears corrupted for me though. Also, it might be time to clean your sensor soon - I can see at least 8 spots in the sky on the 2nd picture.

The bottom half of the 2nd photo is wind blown snow on the frozen lake. I don't see any spots and that includes the full size one. Haven't seen any spots on any of my photos accept the one time I forgot to clean some dust of the lens itself

I purchased this lens over the kit lens as well, and I really love this lens too. This lens lives on my Drebel. The lens is a pure joy to use, if you remove the hood you can use the Drebel pop up flash with it too. Glad, to see my enjoyment of this lens isn't a fluke.
