The owling was a little slow this morning so my shooting partner went home to fulfill his domestic duties and I stayed out for a while longer. All shot with the 1DMKII and the 300 f2.8 L IS with 1.4 TC. These were all taken while sitting in the car.

A Robin in the same area.

Somewhere in behind all of those branches is a deer.

#1 is very nice. I would play with the composition a bit to draw the eye. Perhaps a landscape format instead? Nice work.

All are good shots. Why not crop the first two in order to accentuate the bird?

Awesome shots !

Where does everyone get all the money to buy these ID MK II's? Crap they're 10,000 dollar cameras.

OK, so I'm pushing the dirt sucker around and you're snapping wax wings. Life is not fair sometimes:):):):)
I think that that new 300 is a little soft. I'll pick it up tomorrow and run a test on it. I'll get it back to you in, oh say, 2-3 years:):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):)
Sweet images.

Glad you stayed behind, those shots are terrific. I sure hope your 'Shooting Partner' is using the Canon Vacumn with the long L hose for his domestic duties.
